Frederick the Great advancing with a Flag
at the Battle of Zorndorf
(From the painting by Carl Röchling)
This painting by Röchling shows the moment when, with the Prussian attack stalled after becoming a frontal assault, Frederick rode to the East Prussian musketeer regiment Below (No. 11) and attempted to rally the fleeing troops by advancing with the flag. His effort had no effect in the confusion.
